Phoenix Forgotten Review

I find myself fascinated by the intriguing world of UFO sightings and extraterrestrial encounters. It’s captivating to explore the mysteries surrounding these incidents and to speculate about the existence of intelligent life beyond our planet.

Phoenix Forgotten, in particular, excels at creating an immersive atmosphere. The film provides concise glimpses into the broader scope of the phenomenon and the historical events associated with it. The narrative strikes a balance in being careful not to delve too deeply into details that might overshadow the footage. The film follows a grieving sister, who embarks on a quest for answers regarding her missing brother.

One recurring element in such stories is the presence of highly classified military installations. In Phoenix Forgotten, this motif adds an extra layer of intrigue as Sophie, portrayed by the talented Florence Hartigan, takes her search to these secretive facilities.

The opening quarter of Phoenix Forgotten undoubtedly elicits enthusiasm and sets high expectations. However, it’s perplexing how the film ultimately loses its initial spark, ending up feeling somewhat lackluster. There is nothing nail-biting about this story. One thing that particularly irks me in movies is when a character gets sick, injured, or suffers a psychological snap, and either no one notices or everyone pretends that the symptom is nothing to worry about. Everything in “Phoenix Forgotten” revolves around Josh’s (Luke Spencer Roberts of Fear the Walking Dead & The Good Neighbor 2016) belief that he saw a UFO when he was 6 and has searched for proof ever since. Josh is the first to wave away Ashley (Chelsea Lopez) saying she has a metallic taste. He should be the biggest believer, instead, he tells her the taste in her mouth is simply adrenaline.

Where’s the Tension?

In the realm of “Phoenix Forgotten” the title takes on a less sinister vibe and instead has more of a textbook beige repeated context of other stories similar to this. These things that are essentially out of the ordinary are treated with the seriousness of getting a splinter in your toe. Where tension should be building, it instead eases off.

Movies About Phoenix Arizona. It’s a Real Place

In a theme, I personally find quite frightening when executed well, Phoenix Forgotten was far less scary than anticipated. It’s possible that the original concept, if fully realized from the start, could have intensified the fear factor. Additionally, had the three main characters remained dedicated to their search and maintained a sense of unease throughout, the tension could have been significantly heightened. It seems that if they had applied the same level of diligence and curiosity to their investigation as they did to their research, the overall narrative cohesion could have been improved.

Venturing into the vast desert in a rugged car, relentlessly seeking extraterrestrial encounters without any provisions—now that’s the epitome of audacity! While some might argue it would have been prudent to pack ample water and embrace a touch of plausibility. Finally, Phoenix Forgotten good story that fell into the trap of forgetting the message it set out to convey.
