Best Horror Movies on Hulu - Into the Dark

If you’re a horror movie enthusiast and searching for the best horror movies on Hulu, then look no further than the anthology series Into the Dark. This blood-curdling season consists of 12-hour-long movies that are sure to send shivers down your spine. “Into the Dark” first premiered on October 5th, 2018, and new episodes are continuously being added, guaranteeing a constant stream of suspenseful entertainment. Don’t miss out on this chilling collection of horror movies. This article is an introduction to all things “Into the Dark” outlining the first two episodes.

Best Horror Movies on Hulu, Start With “Into The Dark”

The first episode begins by stoking the Halloween fires. “The Body” is the first in the series of what is a 12-part anthology for the Hulu platform. The TV show has gone on to air for two seasons since the release of the pilot which hit screens in 2018.

Each part is a standalone story with a connection through either its structure or narrative. But for a good time, you can’t go past this incredible series that counts towards being among the best horror movies on Hulu.

What’s ‘The Body’ About?

The show begins with the introduction of Wilkes, a skilled assassin who encounters a challenging situation on Halloween night when he is tasked with disposing of a body. Tom Bateman brilliantly portrays Wilkes, exuding a captivating charisma reminiscent of the iconic character Dexter. His delivery of clever one-liners hints at a show that perfectly aligns with my dark sense of humor. And let me tell you, the show lives up to expectations. Wilkes is an unforgettable character, making this Blumhouse episode one of the most remarkable I’ve ever witnessed, and this sentiment is shared by many.

“People wear masks their whole lives, pretending that life has meaning. When you kill somebody, all of that is gone.”

“Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life!”

Quote from Hulu’s The Body, Into the Dark.

Into the Dark’s The Body is written and directed by Paul Davis and according to his bio loves movies and has a fond penchant for the horror genre in general. It’s noted that he also stars in this first episode as an uncredited character called ‘Nic Cage Dude’.

In the extremely enticing trailer, Wilkes is shown several times in a suit with blood on one side of his face blending in with Halloween revelers while he carries out his ‘work.’

Episode 2 Into the Dark Flesh & Blood

The second episode is called Flesh & Blood. It is by far the best episode on the Hulu horror movies list.

It follows a girl called Kimberly who suffers from agoraphobia. Subsequently, poor old Kimberly hasn’t left the house since her mother was murdered. Thanksgiving marks the anniversary of this day and now Kimberley feels like her life is in danger.

Well, I’m glad you asked. When news of this series was first released, it took a lot of repeated viewings of many teaser trailers to eke out the following information. See the bottom of the article for all the episodes I’ve reviewed with links to a short review plus their accompanying trailer. I’ve also ranked them in my order of preference and I’ll update them as we go along.

The stories line up with the holiday season. Given that the first is definitely about Halloween I then confirmed the second to be about Thanksgiving.

The initial teaser trailer flashes the words; Christmas, April Fools’ Day, Fathers Day, Veteran’s Day, Independence Day, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, National Grandparents Day, St Patricks Day, International Women’s Day, and Earth Day. These are each of the themes covered in the first series of Into the Dark’s horror anthology.
