AIMEE The Visitor

“AIMEE: The Visitor” goes to great lengths to convince us that this is a preventative story about the potential dangers associated with unregulated AI. Directed by Charles Band, AIMEE (Artificial Intelligence Model for Enhanced Environment) comes after a long line of B-movies that date back to 1973. The title also claims to host the first nonhuman actor with AIMEE being completely portrayed by AI and only using digital effects. Expectations and reality certainly prove that sometimes cutting-edge technology isn’t as scary as its reputation.

AIMEE The Visitor Cast

Scott Keyes, played by Dallas Schaefer, is a central character in the story and is depicted as a hacker. The film establishes his dedication to his craft by showcasing him in an abandoned loft, watching porn. Hunter (Felix Merback) and his sister Gazelle (Faith West) bring him the newest in AI advancement. A classified program they were unable to get into. Scott wastes no time breaking into the protective code and we are introduced to AIMEE, a floating, talking head on the computer monitor. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a flashback from the 80s in your mind’s eye.

“AIMEE The Visitor” 2023

As the narrative unfolds, AIMEE: The Visitor’s capabilities quickly exceed Keyes’s expectations. Unfortunately, they didn’t exceed mine. As AIMEE begins to exhibit signs of self-awareness, the storyline sinks further into being a weird soft porn movie than it does a powerful femme fatal led AI horror. AIMEE does start making autonomous decisions. However, they are mainly watching Keyes watch porn while she watches from a nearby screen. She does manage to kill off some unsuspecting side characters. But how she does this is unexplained.

The two indulge in a mutual obsession with each other. The relationship is neither plausible nor enjoyable to watch. AIMEE is nothing short of what I imagine Siri with a face looks like. With the introduction of Gazelle as a human love interest, I became less interested in what was happening on screen as the film moved forward. The character arcs are shallow and only push the film’s agenda, which is less of an advanced infiltration program and more towards a love triangle that is barely established. But any excuse to have cast without their gear on is a win for some, I guess.

Suppose you want to feel better about the possibility that Hollywood might be replaced by artificial intelligence like this. In that case, AIMEE The Visitor is a production that just might put your mind at ease. “AIMEE: The Visitor” was released on streaming platforms on September 29th, 2023. Where to Watch Aimee The Visitor Movie

Known for his work on the Evil Bong franchise and Deadly Dolls, Charles Band could have done better with this. Produced by Full Moon Empire and subsequently distributed by Full Moon Features.

The full movie trailer of “AIMEE The Visitor” provides a glimpse into the cinematic experience that awaits audiences. I do recommend watching the movie trailer in this instance against my usual advice. Whether you are a fan of Charles Band’s previous works or simply enjoy the theme of AI and AI-related new thriller movies, AIMEE The Visitor is still an interesting concept. So, grab some popcorn, sit back, and decide whether you think this film was a product of the world of artificial minds. Do writers have something to worry about? Not if this is the best they can do.
