Cobra Kai TV Series Cast and season return date on Mother of Movies

If you haven’t seen the best Netflix series ever, Cobra Kai, what are you even doing with your life? Mother of Movies binge-watched this excellent Karate Kid-flavored story on the streamer, Netflix. Seasons 1 and 2 were over in the blink of a steely-eyed glare. The cast for Cobra Kai is a spectacular blend of old and new. In addition, the writing and casting were a stroke of genius. Flashbacks of the cult classic smash film from the 80s

The Karate Kid features heavily throughout a whole new narrative. Set in the present time, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are catapulted from their teen selves and presented as adults. Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) is now a successful businessman, with a wife and family. John Lawrence (Zabka) is a washed-up alcoholic who has been with a son he never sees. He also has a delinquent ex-wife and lives on the wrong side of town.

Cobra Kai Cast and the Past

Season 1 is a perfect combination of retelling the original Karate Kid story. This time, through the eyes of Johhny Lawrence. So convincing is this unbiassed new tale, that the internet went crazy with a new perception of Daniel LaRousso’s championship win. Who was the bully in the scenario? Was LaRusso’s treatment of Johnny as straightforward as it seemed? More to the point, now it was easy to take the side of the so-called bully, Johnny, and discover there are, in fact, always two sides to every story. Season 1 of Cobra Kai featured the spectacular entrance of villain John Kreese (Martin Kove) just to quash any doubts that this new series was going to kick a**.

Season 2 gave rise to more of the same. The storyline showed Johnny Lawrence as a pertinent hero with more to offer if given the chance and the original Karate Kid tale is officially flipped on its head. The kids from each side bring forth the wounds from the past. The All-Valley Under-18 Karate Championships feature in the same way as it did in the 80s movie and again the same themes are generated in a new setting. Season 2 doesn’t have the same fire as season 1 of Cobra Kai but the series overall is so good, that nobody cares.

Season 3 Release Date

The announcement for season 3 is given the green light along with season 4. January 8th, 2021 marks the scheduled release date for Cobra Kai season 3 to drop on the streaming platform Netflix. If you were wondering why this series came as a sudden surprise by already having legions of fans when it appeared on Netflix, it’s because it originally started on YouTube. Cobra Kai amassed more than 55 million views just for episode 1.

Season 2 commenced on YouTube Premium. It ended up on Netflix because its partner Sony TV announced they wouldn’t be doing a season 4. If you were looking for a reason to put Netflix back into your good graces, breathe a sigh of relief that the platform giant commissioned the newest season, Cobra Kai season 4.

Now, all we need is confirmation of Ali’s return. When will Elizabeth Shue show herself on Cobra Kai? I’m guessing episode 1 or 2 of season 3. Surely they can’t make us wait too much longer? Who’s side are you on?

Season 4 Cobra Kai

If you’re not watching the Cobra Kai series on Netflix, you simply aren’t living. Mother of Movies has been bingeing the latest season of the series based on the cult classic Karate Kid movies and loving every minute of it. Robby, Hawk, Johnny, Daniel, Sam, and Kreese are all back on the dojo mats and looking for a fight. And you’ll never guess who comes into season 4 of Cobra Kai to join forces with Kreese.

None other than Terry Silver himself. The guy who tormented Daniel LaRusso is back, older and wiser. But has he learned his lesson? The Cobra Kai cast is what fans of the movies come to see and so far none of the seasons has let us down.

In Season 4 of Cobra Kai, Johnny, and Daniel try their best to join forces. But can two rivals ever be friends? Maybe they will never work it out but one thing is for sure you cannot miss them going head to head. The final round is to mend fences and build a bridge.

“Daniel: You gotta understand, man. I was taught karate was for defense only. It’s always gonna be tough to respect Cobra Kai.

Johnny: You mean Eagle Fang.

Daniel: Oh, come on, Johnny. Is there really a difference? You’re still teaching aggression.

Johnny: Some kids need a little aggression.”
